You cannot add a device to Find my iPhone that is linked to a different iCloud account. However, Family Sharing would let you track each others devices.

Find my iPhone My husband recently upgraded his iPhone to an 11, but now it doesn't appear on his iPad (mini) when he uses the find my iPhone. Besides Family Sharing, Find My Friends may be another solution (but with less capability).

You can also use a computer to log into iCloud.com (using her ID) to access Find My iPhone.
