Bing search engine is taking over Google Chrome and Safari.

My google search engine on Google Chrome and Safari keeps defaulting to Bing.com. I've searched how to solve this and I have "managed my search engines" under setting on Google Chrome, reset my settings on Google Chrome, etc.

How and where do I search in my macbook files to delete unwanted programs? Is this an issue that I can bring to Apple to have someone search through my files to find the unwanted program, if there is such one?

MacBook Air (2018 or later)

You have adware installed on your Mac.

1. Run  the latest release of MalwareBytes for Mac to remove malware/adware.

    Uninstall Guide:  https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1190

The installer may ask you to allow it in Security & Privacy  /System Preference. Allow it.

Launch Malwarebytes for Mac. Click the "Scan Now" button.

2. Disable all extensions and test.

     Disable or uninstall extensions.
