4k monitor with Macbook Pro (early 2013)

I want to buy a new monitor for use with a Macbook Pro Retina 15"

(early 2013), but am not too sure if my machine will support the current

crop of 4k monitors.

My machine has an NVDIA GE Force GT650M (1024mb) which, according to

the NVDIA specs, supports digital resolutions up to 3840 x 2160.

Does this mean that the Macbook will actually support such a monitor?

Which monitor specs should I buy? (I am looking at 27" to 32" sizes)

Thanks for the help.
