Visual voicemail

Hi, I have a new iPhone 7 on Xfinitymobile. The visual voicemail doesn't seem to work if I have cellular data off, just Wi-Fi on. I have been searching around that topic and getting different responses from it won't work on Wi-Fi to it should be working. Anyone know which is true. Thank You.

That is correct. Visual Voicemail requires cellular data, because it is a carrier feature and your carrier doesn't know anything about your Wi-Fi connection.

Try connecting you your carrier's voicemail server. You do this either by calling your own number, or, with most carriers, on the dialpad hold the "1" button for several seconds.


The only other possibility is to extract them from a phone backup made while they were still on the phone, either by restoring the backup to your phone or using one of the several iPhone Backup Extractor programs you can find on the Internet. Note that if you restore a backup it replaces all content on the phone; there is no way to selectively restore.
