Strictly speaking all purchases are final (after wll, you can't very well return them). Apple has been known to be sympathetic where an item has been purchased by mistake, or by kids when the parents weren't looking, though simply deciding you didn't like something isn't likely to be accepted as a reason. (Something not working as advertised is another matter, of course).
So Apple may agree to give you a refund as a one-off concession, but please be aware that they are under no obligation to do so.

I don't know whether it takes the form of account credit or is refunded to your credit card (if that is registered).
