Terminal erroneously reports low disk space

Hi all.

All of a sudden I'm frequently getting "Your disk space is critically low. Older terminal scrollback contents may be discarded to conserve VM backing store."

But I have 75 GB available on my boot partition.

Anybody have an explanation for this? Thanks!

Reboot into Safe Boot mode, and then reboot normally. Do a cold shutdown, and then on power up, press and hold the shift key at the boot chime — until you see the boot progress bar. The System is performing some house-keeping so this type of boot is slower, and may introduce some temporary display issues before the login prompt.

After a normal reboot, do the low diskspace messages still appear?
