Hi RonnieScott,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities and congratulations on your new Mac! I understand you'd like to know which adapter you'll need to connect your iPod Nano to your new MacBook Air. I know it's important to connect your devices to your Mac; I'd like to help. To use a USB-A device with your MacBook, you can use a USB-C to USB adapter: About the Apple USB-C to USB Adapter

I'd also recommend taking a look at the information for USB-A devices in the following article for other adapters you can use that also include a USB-A port: Adapters for the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) or USB-C port on your Mac or iPad Pro

Best Regards.
