30 pin iPod connection to new 2021 iMac

Hi, I am planning to purchase the new 2021 iMac M1 very soon but have just realised there might be a problem connecting my old iPod fitted with a 30 pin connection to the new machine. I Would appreciate if anybody could advise on the best way to overcome this problem, I don’t fully understand the connections ie: various USB types and lightning/thunderbolt, which connection/combination would be the best option?

You will need to buy a hub to accommodate older peripherals. I would recommend using OWC (www.macsales.com) as they have a wide variety of hubs available. Another solution is to buy a cheap adapter (USB A to USB C) that you can find on Amazon. For example.
