Screen time doesn’t block netflix
I have set a time limit on my sons phone of 1 hour for Netflix. He is able to watch it for well over an hour. It is not blocking his phone. Thoughts?

Hello coachhomer,
Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having an issue with blocking Netflix on your son's iPhone. To help with your situation, please restart his iPhone and make sure the iOS software is up to date. Then check the Screen Time settings with the steps in these Apple resources:
Use Screen Time to get insights about how you use your device
Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
I’m having this same issue. Extremely frustrating. I just checked our Netflix account and my daughter watched 8 episodes of a show in one day with a 1 hour 30 minute per day screen time limit set.
choachhomer - Did the iOS reinstall steps outlined above work?
thanks!
He’s running the most recent software. I have restarted this phone and deleted the Netflix limit and reset it. He is not getting any notificatications that he is at the limit and he has never requested more time.
Thanks for replying, coachhomer, and that additional info, it really helps! At this point, we would like you to reinstall iOS on your son's device; this will help us isolate the situation further. Reinstalling iOS should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Once you have a current backup, follow the steps from the "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up" section in this article:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen
Use the “Update” option and not “Restore” and these steps will reinstall iOS. Keep in mind that these steps were written for a different issue, but they will still help us isolate the situation further.
Have a great day and thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
