Formatting differences between Pages on MacOS and iOS

Has anyone noticed that the number of lines on a page is different between MacOS and iOS?

For example, I have a document that fits exactly on one page when I look at it on Pages on my Mac. However, when I switch to Pages on my iPad or iPhone, the same document takes more than one page.

I have no special formatting or page setup on the document–it’s a default document.

This is pretty frustrating when working on complicated documents where formatting matters.

This is pretty wild–has anyone else experienced this? Is Apple aware of it?

Apple would be aware of it if someone selected Provide Pages Feedback from the Mac Pages application menu. Apple leadership and Product teams do not participate here — just fellow users, and an occasional member of the Apple hosts support team.

The Pages for Mac, Pages for iOS, and Pages for iCloud applications are all differently implemented applications based on the platform that they address, and the superset features that the macOS application enjoys over the other two. It is enough of a challenge formatting complex documents with the Pages for Mac application, which explains why in my case, I almost never use Pages for iCloud, and do not use Pages for iOS.
