Renting a movie

Sounds like you are only being asked to confirm your id and that it's your account, not that the card will be charged for the rental - and you won't see an option to say how items are paid for, it's automatic.

What happens when you try to rent a film ?

If you haven't rented a film why do you think it's going to charge your card, what message/prompt shows ?

What type of gift card is it ? iTunes and App Store gift cards don't have three digit codes, only credit and debit cards do

What is the text of the message/prompt that shows taking you there ? Is it only asking you to verify your payment details e.g. to verify your id and that it's your account ?
