Safari Web Archive pages suddenly blank

This is a quote from a previous post that is not active but exactly how I experience it! I have a huge amount of webarchive saved and they all open blank - recent and old -- how to fix? e

" -- Safari Web Archive pages suddenly blank I save a lot of web pages with Safari web archive and really like it, but today every single page I try to save seems to save OK, but when I open it later, it's blank. I've tried it on all different kinds of pages and it's failed to work on all of them. Ones saved a while back are fine. Help!"

I ditto the need for help!

Hello cjoyk,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand your web archive files are loading blank.

You mentioned the recent attempts seem to save but then show blank later; do you mean that they seem to work for a period of time immediately after you make the web archive? If so, have you noticed any particular actions that seem to correlate with the web archives changing to blank?

Do you use any pop-up blockers or other types of extensions? Try clicking Safari > Preferences > Extensions and look in the left-hand column. If you see any there, try unchecking the boxes as a test. Then, quit Safari and re-open it and test your web archives.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, try booting into safe mode next. This runs a quick diagnostic/repair and then prevents a few types of items from launching, so it helps rule out a few causes: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac. Once you reach the desktop in safe mode, test it out and make note of whether they work here. Then click the Apple menu () > Restart to get back to normal and test again; this process often helps clear up behavior like this.

Kind regards.
