Safari 12.1.1 stops downloading pages after 4-5 web sites

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) with 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Just recently Safari began acting strangely. After 4-5 different web pages, the next page will not load. The load bar starts, goes about 15% across and hangs. Nothing seems to function then. I restart and try again, same thing. 4-5 pages work normally. Then, it hangs again. Restart, repeat. Very frustrating. I have no extensions loaded, no virus protection software loaded. I have an iPhoneXS and an iPadAir sharing accounts across devices. But still happens. I had to restart twice to get to this post. Any ideas?

You have adware installed.

Run EtreCheck again.

In the Sidebar, click the Security button.

Locate  and remove entries under  Adware and Unsigned files.

 Click the “Remove” button.

Post the full report in PasteBin and then post the link here.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Wilco. Tried the new admin account. Same thing happened. When I relogged into the computer to do some work, I was editing a MS Word for MAC document version 16.25 (19051201). When I logged into Safari to email the file, Safari hung up again. Same situation but this time no previous web pages at all. I restarted the computer and now I'm in this site sending this post. I will try the Safe Mode option in little while. But the admin account changed nothing.

If not, try downloading this program which was written by Thomas R, a long time poster. The program will search for malware/adware The program will do the work for you which makes it easy. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. After running the scans, restart the computer.
