Transfer balance on iTunes gift card to another family member?

Is it possible to transfer the remaining balance of an iTunes gift card to another family member that's been set up with Family Sharing, so they can decide what to spend it on?

No. Only the person who redeemed the card will be able to use it, and the iTunes Store staff won't put the balance back onto it after any of it has been spent.
