Voice memo not working

my main issue is that phone calls seem to be noisy and static. And oftentimes I don’t hear anything on a call or if I want to call someone.

one of the tips was to check microphone by testing voice memo. But this app doesn’t work. I press the record button and nothing happens, then press it again and nothing happens, then again and then it says recording 2 or 3 etc. I’ve closer and opened a few times with no difference.

i recently got my phone ‘repaired’ for a new battery but they replaced my whole phone because it wasn’t good or something and gave me a new one. It worked fine at first but now I am noticing decline in apps (slower start up, more hangs etc), apps not working, phone quality bad. Anyone experiencing the same?
