I recently got a new ipad and all of the photos/videos from my iphone and ipad have synced. How do I remove all of the photos from the ipad without also removing them from my phone. When I go into icloud to unsync them and toggle off, I get a message that everything will be deleted if I choose to do so.

Change your iCloud feature settings - Apple Support
When you turn iCloud Photos off on the iPad, and choose the option to delete photos, this will only remove the photos that have been synced to the iPad using iCloud Photos. It will not delete the photos from iCloud or any photos that were on the iPad prior to turning iCloud Photos on. With this feature turned off it will prevent the iPad from uploading and syncing photos using iCloud.
