I am able to type letters and numbers to login on my MacBookAir. However, many keys are not working on several apps. Already followed instructions found in this forum like Safe Booting, Recover booting but it didn't work. I found instructions to type commands on Terminal but I'm stuck because not all keys are working. Had to type this msg from another Mac.

Thank you. It requires user's password to restore and one of the digits doesn't work :-(
Tried copy/paste from a document but Edit/Paste doesn't stop spinning ball ...

That may indicate that you have Mouse Keys activated accidentally. See

I was able to change the computer's password and did Applications/Font Book.app>File>Restore Standard Fonts
Got a msg "The standard font check is complete. No problems were encountered.
But problem remains the same :-(
Any other hint?
