Slow performance after mojave 10.14.6 update and missing all fonts

Yesterday I've updated to the latest Mojave update and when i launched my mac I've experienced extremely slow performance, for example Adobe illustrator has been hanging for at least 5 minutes before opening and even the system apps take ages to open and seem unresponsive. Also noticed that all my font files are missing and they're not in the library/fonts or fontbook as if completely wiped off the system. Also another weird issuw is that i have installed signal messenger app last night and it's also gone completely form both finder and applications folder, very odd as other apps are all present. Ran first aid on boot with no effect whatsoever. Any help/ideas muchly appreciated
