My battery icon on my iPad has a lightning bolt in the middle of the icon, not beside it...is this ok

My IPAD battery icon has a lightening bolt in the middle of the icon ,nit beside it. Is this ok.

Home Screen - Upper Right Corner I have an icon next to my battery indicator on an iPhone 12. It looks like a solid dot with a rounded square around the dot that has open on the flat side the box. If I drag it down it disappears. I can’t see the entire icon. It showed up yesterday and now my battery is being drained quickly.
