Airport Extreme vs Xfinity, Arris TG1682G

Presently, I have an Arris TG1682G modem with Xfinity. My internet package is 60/5 mbps. Should I buy an Airport Extreme if I plan to increase my internet package?

Currently, I have 10 internet connected devices and plan to acquire 4-5 more.

Improvement in performance will come from a faster speed plan from your provider. The current router that you have will handle up to about 1,000 Mbps connections according to the specifications of the product.

No need to look for a new router unless you are looking for special features which your current router does not provide.

So, if you might compare speed plans of 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps and 300 Mbps for starters. Not sure if Xfinity offers higher speed plans.
