iphone 5s no cellular data until updated???

Yes, in this case it is probably related to something that went wrong during the update. The way to tell is to go to Settings/Cellular. If there's nothing there, or if you go to Settings/General/About and there is no modem firmware version, the only solution is to go to Apple.

Well I plugged phone up before bed and an apple update took place. When I unplugged it and tried using it I got the error message saying my network require update and I will not be able to make or receive phone calls or use cellular data. I did a live chat with apple and allowed them to dial into my phone and supposedly everything looked fine and they pointed me towards my carrier, Verizon prepaid so I went to Verizon and they insist it’s nothing to do with my carrier that it is a apple issue and recommend me to go stand in line for 7 hrs to hope for a resolve mentioned something about the update and possibly a antenna issue? Had absolutely no problem until the update?
