airdrop can receive but can’t send

My airdrop stopped working today. I can receive pictures but I can’t send. I have it set to Everyone. When I go to airdrop it can’t find anyone. Nothing happens/shows up. Rebooted my phone several times, turned Bluetooth on and off. Have an iPhone Xs and iOS is up to date. Any suggestions on how to fix?

It worked! Thanks for the reply. Didn't realize I needed to have the wifi on. Always thought it was just Bluetooth.

Hi Marphee,

Thanks for posting to Apple Support Communities for assistance today! It sounds like your iPhone XS can receive but not send and AirDrop. It's a useful feature and I hope we can get this working for you.

Check out all of these steps: Use AirDrop on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Keep in mind, everyone needs to have Wi-Fi on and Personal Hotspot off. The receiver will need Do Not Disturb turned off.

I hope this resolves your issue with AirDrop.

Have a fantastic weekend!
