Voice control randomly activates without use of headphones

Since update to ios12.1.2 Siri started to activate randomly without prompt and frequently.

I disabled Siri and the phone kept trying to activate the function and showed an about type message. Then voice control randomly activates and again quite frequently (from constant to every 5 minutes) and shows a list of options.

It disappears but interrupts and extremely annoying.

I do not have to be using headphones for this to occur.

Resolved this myself. Seems phone was stuck in headphones mode due to something perhaps stuck in port. Inserted tie to clean and viola - issue gone.
