Backing up Apple Watch if it has been unpaired from my iPhone?

As a result of a reset I performed on my iPhone my Apple Watch series 4 became unpaired. Unfortunately it took my over a week to realise this had happened.

I have read that to re-pair the watch I first need to reset it. Is there any way I can back it up first so that all my activity data etc for the past week is saved?

The activity information is on your phone saved under health, and activity app. Also you passed workouts. As long as that is backed up on your phone. The watch doesn’t retain that information after activity. You would lose your weekly summary and any photos or music. Ta
