When the watch and the phone are unpaired, is the information on the watch deleted? backups are made and my question is is this backup on the phone or is it on the watch and who can access it and read the information from the watch?
When you unpair your watch a backup of your health and fitness data is made automatically as long as the paired phone is signed into iCloud and the backup is uploaded to icloud,when you come to re-pair your watch you are asked if you want to set it it up as new or restore it from a backup,you choose restore from backup then all your health and fitness data is downloaded back to the phone and watch from the icloud backup and you carry on using your watch with all previous data intact.
I was a little worried because it is the first time that I have sold something to Apple without being aware of the procedure, however, everyone keeps their personal data and does not want anyone else to have access to it, that's why I asked affirmatively if the data is deleted by this way splitting. If you unpair the watch through the watch app on the phone then the watch is erased and the activation lock is removed.
