If you enabled "Find My Mac" long before your Mac was stolen, you can activate it now through your Apple-ID account.

Macs do NOT have any tracking devices whatsoever, and ONLY if you enabled "Find My Mac" ahead of time, can you use the location of the Wi-Fi they connect to, and that may divulge their likely location through the Apple-ID account.
