Unlocking a straight talk iphone to SA carrier

Greetings community.

I am a South African who's phone unfortunately was not supported in the USA. I bought a phone through Craiglist, but it is activated for straight talk.

How do I unlock the phone so that the carrier bar is bypassed?

If the phone is locked to a carrier contact that carrier and see if they will unlock it

Straight Talk doesn't have a carrier lock as it is a month to month payment.
