Sold phone back to sprint, why is device still on my ID ?

I have an old iphone attached to this apple ID. I leased the phone from Sprint years ago, and since have sold the phone and have a motorolla with same phone #. They were supposed to deactivate and strip that phone of my identity and information. Why is this still showing up?

The owner sold it to me with out Apple ID and I can't reach them? She sold it on let go and blocked me when I asked her to remove the phone from Apple ID?
