Adding clip soundtrack in iMovie trailers?

I can insert video clips easily into an iMovie trailer, but how do I get that clips sound track to play over the trailer background audio?

Hi, Robert,

First convert the trailer to a movie project. Then, in the movie project, select the video clip in the timeline. Then click on the loudspeaker icon in the toolbar at the upper right of your screen. Check the box that says "lower volume of other clips". There's a slider to the left that will allow you to lower the volume of the other clip (i.e, the trailer background music) down to zero or anywhere in between. The volume will be lowered for the duration of the video clip and then will return to normal.
