But the OPs issues is still vague. Regardless of whether the callerID is set up (correctly or appropriately) with the carrier or device for a number or otherwise, iOS, Android. and Windows phones will show a name or company name if that number is in the default caller app contact list.

So simply saying there is a “caller id issue” really doesn’t tell any of us if this is this an issue with a carrier setting, a device setting, or a receipient device’s setting or anything else.

As as far as my own experience goes, the default callerID with a USA carrier is nothing more than your telephone number, unless you have changed it to something else. And that is within the USA for the major carriers I know about, while I have no idea where on the planet the OP is.

What exactly is the “callerID issue”? Most carriers just allow your telephone number as your callerID. It’s up to your recipients device and contact list to associate that with and convert what’s displayed on their device to a name.

So simply posting “caller id issue” really doesn’t tell anyone here what’s going on that you’d like help with.

Caller ID with name is pretty common. Using AT&T, for example, with 5 lines on my family plan, I can log onto AT&T's web site and specify the name that will appear on a CID with name display when receiving a call from that line.

Verizon has a similar service.
