Paused Videos Starting themselves
I have a new MacBook Pro, and despite having paused a video in one tab and working in another, Safari keeps randomly restarting the video. Is there a way to prevent this?

It's just Hulu giving me this problem. I tried safe mode, but it wouldn't let Hulu play any videos at all, so I couldn't test the problem. In the test account, I didn't seem to have the problem, but I can't find a difference between the settings on the test account and my account. I tried turning off auto play on Hulu, but the problem persisted, which is actually mildly concerning. I have noticed that the time it takes for Hulu to unpause its videos is shortened if I'm playing audio or video somewhere else on the computer (iTunes for instance), but that could be coincidence.
Hello Olfactory-Ventriloquism,
I understand that you are having an issue with paused videos starting themselves. I'm happy to help you find a resolution.
Safe mode (sometimes called safe boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents some software from automatically loading or opening.
Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac
Also, I would suggest trying:

Please let me know if you are still having issues after reviewing the links. Also, can you tell me if this only happing on specific videos, or on certain websites?
Have a great day!
