13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) Solid-State Drive Service Program

I checked that my MacBook pro is eligible in this program and went to genius bar to fix it.

The technician ran a utility to update the drive firmware and re-installed the macOS.

But I realised that when I turn on the MacBook, it is running slow and it takes around 10 seconds to switch on the Mac. Originally it only takes around 3 seconds for turning on.

From >System Preferences>Startup Disk>Select your Macintosh HD from the list and Highlight it>Restart

You can also Try resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
