Homepod Reset but no spinning white circle.

I tried to reset homepod by following the procedures, but upon reconnecting the power, there is no spinning white circle and I couldn’t continue the process. I already removed my homepod from my home app, ungroupped the stereo pair. But it won’t work. How should I solve this problem?

Try the steps in Reset HomePod - Apple Support once more, pay attention to the suggested timings.

  1. Unplug HomePod, wait 5 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Wait 5 seconds, then touch your finger to the top of HomePod and hold it there.
  3. The white spinning light will turn red. Keep your finger down.
  4. Siri will say that your HomePod is about to reset. When you hear three beeps, you can lift your finger.

Thank you fou your answer, but I did everything as stated exactly, including the timing, still it won’t seem to work at all.

Just so you know more info, I used to be able to reset it normally a couple of months ago using the methods you showed me. Currently, Siri works and playing through airplay does too, but I cannot use homepod to control any of my homekit devices. I tried removing the whole “home” as to some webs suggest, but it’s no use either. Do you have any idea? Thank you in advance :)
