iTunes match issues

Hi

I have had iTunes match for years, but for some reason have started having issues I can not resolve.

Firstly. Music I buy on my iPhone iTunes, has now started to fail to download to my MacBook iTunes, with an error message/code of-3244. I can't find any info on this code. Nothing will save to my main library.

Secondly, when I used to add music to my MacBook iTunes library, it used to show on my phone, it now no longer does this.

Thirdly, when I connect my phone to the computer, I can not drag a single thing to it in iTunes.

Please help, I have no idea how to fix this.

  1. If you've upgraded to Mojave it may be more particular about the location where you've chosen to store your library. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Mac - Apple Community and make sure that permissions are set correctly. It may help to delete the Downloads folder inside your iTunes Media folder and empty the trash so that a new folder is created for this. See also Turn on Automatic Downloads or App Updates - Apple Support.
  2. See About iCloud Music Library icons and status - Apple Support. Make sure that iCloud Music Library is enabled in iTunes and check the status of new content to make sure it has been matched or uploaded.
  3. When iCloud Music Library is enabled on an iOS device you don't get to manually transfer music. Add it to the library and let the cloud do the work.
