Hi Chris1319,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand you've been unable to use AirDrop between two iOS devices.
You mentioned this is happening with projects or videos from iMovie. To test, are you able to use AirDrop with other types of files, like a photo? For reference, this is a great guide on using AirDrop for iMovie. iMovie for iOS (iPad): Import from another device using AirDrop.
If the issue is occurring with other types of AirDrop content as well, a great starting point is to restart both devices and then try again: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
You might also double-check a few of the points mentioned below, particularly Personal Hotspot: Use AirDrop on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Before you begin, check the following:
- Make sure that the person you're sending to is nearby and within Bluetooth and Wi-Fi range.
- Check that you and the person you're sending to have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. If either of you have Personal Hotspot on, turn it off.
- Check if the person you're sending to has their AirDrop set to receive from Contacts Only. If they do, and you’re in their Contacts, they need to have your email address or mobile number in your contact card for AirDrop to work.
I hope this helps.
Take care.
