Verification Code from random sender (random phone number)

Hi Guys,

Recently i reset my password for my apple id, which prompt me to signed out from my iphone. After signing out, I signed in to my iphone with my new password and received a verification code request. A few moment later, the verification code was sent by a random number. So I assume it was leggit and used it to log in, funny as it is, it worked.

Not believing it, I signed out the apple id from my iphone again. Then I signed in again and a verification code was requested again. To my suprise the verification code was sent by another different number again. So I tried it and it work.

My question is this normal for Apple, using a normal mobile number to send verification code to their users? Or is this an act of hackers and scammers? Please help as I am worried that my phone might be hacked and my personal data and info got retrieved.
