iPhone 8 Plus Home Button

Mine does this too. I have a crack on mine. It worked for the whole time I had it until I put it on the charger for a hour. My home button overheats. My phone doesn’t but the button does. I think it’s something to do with the Lightning port.

My iPhone 8 Home Button is cracked and overheating i dropped it on small pile of rocks in my garage and my phone stopped working for a minute or to and the Touch ID dosnt work same as the home button and it’s over heating like crazy. Is there a way to stop the over heating? Because I can’t afford a new iPhone yet.

iPhone 8 home button over heating and mysteriously cracked- battery draining super fast Has anyone else had this problem and has Apple done anything to fix it? The other day I was using my phone and everything was working perfect. I then left to go do something and left my iPhone 8 on my bed, and when I came back I noticed my home button was extremely hot and wasn't working. I then noticed I had a notification saying that my home button could not be recognized. Upon looking closer I saw that a crack had mysteriously appeared on my home button (It was literally sitting on my bed in the same place I left it??). Ever since then my home button will be extremely hot and the battery will drain like crazy. I've read about some other people having this same problem, and most of the time it seems like Apple will not do anything about it... Is there anyone that has had theirs successfully replaced?! My phone is only 10 months old.
