Digital TV loses signal whilst ATV 4K is on

I recently bought an indoor antenna for my tv to receive free terrestrial channels where I live in Spain and picked up every channel available and all work perfectly but I soon noticed that whenever my Apple TV 4K is switched on, most of my digital channels completely lose signal and begin to work again as soon as I put my Apple TV to sleep.. does anyone know if this is a setting on the atv that’s affecting my smart TV or is it an electrical disturbance maybe??

Obviously I don’t need to use both at the same time so it’s not a huge problem, I’m just curious to know if there’s a fix,

I have an indoor antenna myself and I have never experienced that issue. Unfortunately not all such devices are created equal and some are just more prone to issues, including sensitivity to interference. It wouldn't be a fault of the ATV or isolated to that device.

You can try the antenna in different positions, or see if there is an option to boost the signal. If it does persists and also becomes something that is more bothersome then you can try a different antenna

I have tried moving the antenna and ATV but makes no difference but I tested to see if if the interference is coming from the ATV box or the ATV’s HDMI connection to the TV and it’s the HDMI that is the culprit. All channels work fine with the Apple TV switched on as long as it’s HDMI isn’t connected to the TV but as soon as I connect the HDMI I completely loose nearly all of my channels... very strange maybe I will try a different HDMI cable tomorrow
