Apple Authorized Service Center Refuses to Warranty Repair

My 2017 MacBook Pro 15's touchbar stopped working, apparently the lcd cracked causing the display to not fully function. The touch is still completely operable. I have not done any physical damage to the device however my local authorized service center refused to perform any repairs under warranty due to them claiming physical damage. If I ship my computer to Apple will there be any chance they fix it for free. If they do charge me, do they have any flexibility on pricing. Thanks
