Apple ID

I have a new MacBook Air . i can't download anything from Mac App Store . and I get this message ( an error occurred during purchase) what should I do??? I entered my Apple ID for iCloud but now I can't download apps from Mac App Store.

Have you tried signing out of the App Store and back in? Have you verified your billing information?
