Cant turn off two-factor authentication

I just rebooted my macbook pro to factory settings. Before I did this I had two-factor authentication turned on.

I now have the oldest OS and I want to download Mojave. When trying to download Mojave I have to use two-factor authentication, and thats fine, but my appstore app on my Macbook is to old. So when Im getting a notification on my phone, and Im going to write in the 6 numbers on my macbook, the 6 lines dosent show up. I cant turn it off in settings either, because the OS is to old. Cant turn it off on my phone either. The "turn off two-factor authentication" dosent pop up.

Please help.

So, once you get the message on your Mac to get the Verification Code, you need to type in both your password and the Verification Code in the Password box. Do not put a space between them. If the screen is no longer showing the sign in boxes (Apple ID and Password), then press the back arrow to go to the previous screen so you can then sign in with the Apple ID and the password + Verification Code combo.

After you type the password in the provided box type the 6 numbers immediately following the password.

You don’t need the box. Just type the code right after your password. So if your code is 654123 and your password is easypass then in the password box you’d type easypass654123.
