Google Earth cannot save My Places - 2nd Post
I have the exact same problem after installing Google Earth Pro 64 bit as "dijay1" has. The only difference is it has my name where he has "USERNAME" And "USERNAME 1".

Check the permissions of these two folders…
~/Library/Caches/Google Earth
~/Library/Application Support/Google Earth
You should have Read & Write permissions for both.
