Spotify on watch

I connect earphones to watch and have Spotify app installed but no sound?? Also the Spotify app doesn’t work on watch, no buttons function such as play forward etc

Play Spotify on iWatch with Headphones Trying to play my Spotify music with just my iWatch. Spoitfy app seems to not show the earphone as a connected device. Podcasts work fine just not Spotify. Is this a version issue, account type or just a huge oversight by Spotify?

apple music on iwatch I have the apple music app and when I access the music only plays on phone. I see what is playing on my watch but no volume.

The Spotify app for the Watch is basically a remote control for the Spotify app on your iPhone. Make sure you've launched the Spotify app on your phone.
