Trying to play my Spotify music with just my iWatch. Spoitfy app seems to not show the earphone as a connected device. Podcasts work fine just not Spotify. Is this a version issue, account type or just a huge oversight by Spotify?

Are you trying to stream just from the Watch, without the iPhone nearby? Is this a cellular Watch? If so, Spotify does not support streaming with the Watch app at this time. You would have to check with them to see when that may change. That is a conscious decision by Spotify.

Did you try connecting them via settings-Bluetooth?
You can download music to the Watch to play, but I don't think that is possible with Spotify. They are best to answer your question.
Yes. Download music to watch and play without the phone nearby is the intent. Just wanted to confirm if it was possible or a configuration issue in my end. I’ll check what I can find on Spotify about any update they may have in future.
Yes. Podcasts play fine but Spotify will not.
