enabling calendar access to apps on iphone

I have an app that give the message "This app does not have access to your calendars: You can enable access in Privacy Settings" When I go to setting to enable there are no apps listed in Calendars to choose.

I have re set all settings.

I have been able to access calendars across mail etc previously. Running IOS iOS 12.1.3 on an iphone SE

Check your iPhone's

Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy Restrictions > Calendars > make sure it's allowed
