Phone and Snapchat still running (Hacked)

Why would your Snapchat/phone still be running in the background if you’ve hung up or not on Snapchat? Does this mean someone is listening in or what? How do you find out and is there a way to protect your iPhone better? Also at the end of this it says what kind of device so I click on it says what device it has a device iPhone, iPhone 7 mines a iPhone 7 does that mean there is more than one hooked up to my iPhone7

Let me answer all your queries one by one.

All the App that you open for working remains open till you close it. This is equivalent to working on multiple application but only one remains active at one time.
If you hung-up on a call or chat then there is no question of others listening to your conversation, even if the App is open at the background.
iPhone is hacker proof and can not be accessed. Do not download any unauthorised softwares from the internet and you are safe.
You can chat on WhatsApp or typing a mail and at the same time you can also be busy on call with someone else. Multitasking
