I have an iPhone 8 Plus and am up to date on my software updates, running iOS 12. When I go to download the activity app on my iPhone it says features aren’t supported on this device and won’t let me download it. I have an Apple Watch and everything else works fine with my phone except this one thing which is my favorite part of the watch. I’ve tried turning both my phone and watch off and on and it still won’t let me download the activity app.

Yes, I have an apple watch. And I use the activity app on my watch. The problem is I can’t open the activity app on my phone to view the activity from my watch. I got a screen shot of another phone with the activity app on it to show what I mean.

Yes, it’s a watch app but there’s also an app that goes on your phone that shows you a summary of all your activity in a calendar view. It’s in the pictures when you go to the app in the App Store. I know it’s on the phone because multiple people I know have the app on their phone.
No, it’s not a business phone. So maybe the one I find on the App Store is for the watch, that makes sense, but then where do I go to get those screens that I see on the app that you circled above? I don’t have that app on my phone. Others that do have the app on their phone said they got it when they got their watch and connected it to their phone but my phone doesn’t seem to have done that.
Yes I do have the health app. And yes the watch is paired to my phone. Everything else works perfectly between my phone and watch except this one thing. Is there something I can do in the health app to get the activity app on my phone?
Pretty sure that is a Watch app not a phone app. I cant find it by searching on the phone.

I believe my problem is originating in the Health app. When I go to sources it just spins and won’t pull up any data. Is there a solution for this? Thank you.

Ok you need to have an Apple Watch. Do you have one? As it only works with one. Ta
So you don’t see the app on your phone? I see is that you shot of the Apple App Store with trying to download? It will need further investigation. Ta

Do have the health app installed? Did you pair the watch with your phone? Ta
Ok two things to try first reset your phone. Press the power button and home button until the Apple logo appears. If you cannot download the app still then repair your watch with the phone. Ta
Ok take your phone out of low power mode. As this stops the apps refreshing in the background. I would now upair your Watch and repair it.
