Using Garage Band to Record Google Translate

Hello everyone. I'm creating audio language lessons for myself in my learning a new language. Google translate has the option to listen to the words and phrases and the quality is very good. I've created a recording using Garage Band, but it is quite harsh sounding, very hard with a tin like sound, and echos. Could anyone suggest how to edit the settings to produce a better sound? I'm a newbie with Garage Band and don't yet know how to navigate the settings very well.

Are you using the internal mic to record the speakers of the Mac? That can't be good! I suggest you use Audio Hijack for this. It will let you directly record the output from any program, including browsers.

If you want, you can then drag it to Garageband for further manipulation.

Hey there, thanks for the suggestion. I'll check out Audio Hijack. After some learning and experimenting I managed to get a decent sound using the narration voice settings.
