File sharing issue with Itunes

I have a couples of apps from which I can added documents in the file sharing section under the apps tab (in Itunes). After 5 click on any apps in this section, no other files will appear in any of my apps (ex. cloudreaders, Readdledocs, etc..). I'm forced to shut down Itunes and start over.

I updated my Itunes for the last 9.2 (x64, windows version) and I still have the same problem. Please I need advice on hoe to fix this.

I just submitted feedback. I discovered these two errors (via iPhone Configuration Utility) that are generated each time I click on an app name and get no result:

Fri Jan 28 16:35:06 unknown lockdownd[16] <Error>: 2ff66000 spawn serviceagent: Too many instances of service com.apple.mobile.house_arrest already running

Fri Jan 28 16:35:06 unknown lockdownd[16] <Error>: 2ff66000 spawn and_handlecheckin: Could not spawn the com.apple.mobile.house_arrest service agent:ServiceLimit

Maybe that will ring a bell with Apple.

I found what my issue was...Run iTunes in Admin Mode...
"Run as administrator"

I always run iTunes on an administrator account, it doesn't make a difference. After about 5 clicks, File sharing stops working. I see the same errors as Newstech in the IPCU console. This happens on both my iPhone 3GS and iPad 2.

I've reported this to Apple as a bug report and they've completely ignored it. Apparently file sharing works fine on Macs, but not very well on Windows PCs.

I am experiencing the same problem! I tried to reload my device, reinstall itunes, and everything listed in this topic. the only one thing that helped was restore the ipad 2 to default, and install only one File Sharing app, BUT when I tried to install other apps no matter with or without file sharing support; file sharing is not working again. please help somebody...

I filed a bug report with Apple again about this issue (under a different id) and I got a response that my report was a duplicate of a known issue. What's discouraging is that the duplicate listed was a bug reported by me back on September 25, 2010 for iTunes 10.0.0.68.

So Apple has known about the problem at least 7 months and has had a number of minor iTunes revisions (I'm fairly certain it's an iTunes for Windows problem), but hasn't fixed the issue.

Have just been fiddling some more, and my perception is that as long as I'm clicking among apps that contain documents, it works fine. But as soon as I click on one app where the documents section is empty, all the apps appear empty.

It's not that the problem occurs because one app has empty documents. The app has empty documents because of the problem. Apparently you can only click on a certain number of apps before file sharing stops working and you have to reload iTunes. The "work around" is to only click on the one app you want to transfer to/from, do the transfers and then reload iTunes. Not user friendly, but it's a work around.

Hi, can anyone help me on the same issue? I just bought an App named "forScore" and transferred many musical score from iTunes to my iPad 2. I later discovered that I made some mistakes and would like to delete all the files in iTunes under File Sharing but the Document list is empty! I couldn't find any of my files, including books downloaded from Kindle. The list is just EMPTY! Please help!

Hi,

I have the same problem, the Apps I have are Goodreader, AVplayerHD, and Pdf-note. I checked with Apple Studio in Thailand, they said they have never heard of this problem. I called Apple with 001 800 number, the call centre in Singapore was helpful, but seemed to be unaware of the problem, which I mentioned that I have seen more than one cases of similar problem reported among the various web fora. The solutions I attempted were reseting Ipad, deleting the Apps and putting them back, but nothing worked. The call centre's advice was ultimately to reinstall Ipad, but I have seen from this forum that it did not work either. So, I have not tried it.

Would appreciate it if anybody can make progress on the issue, will definietly keep watching this page.
