My Mom just moved into a a senior community with its own wifi. I moved her iMac (mid-2011 21.5" High Sierra) and her Canon PIXMA MX922 printer from her old house.
The iMac and the printer are both wireless. But I can't get Mom's iMac to see and use her printer.
Any help?

If like hotel you mean each time she logs on she has to click on an OK then I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe there's someone at the facility who is responsible for IT who can help you. I'm not familiar with the printer you have but I noticed that it is AirPrint compatible and I have a different printer which is also AirPrint compatible. AirPrint printers can be configured different ways. In my case I set it up while connected via a USB cable and never had to give it any WiFi information or password. Check out the configuration instructions online for the printer and see what is entailed in configuring AirPrint.
You'll need to reconfigure the printer as babowa hints at. In the configuration process the printer has to be told what router it is connected to and it also needs the router's password.

I cannot guess how the setup would be without a router either, best to ask the people there. My guess is that they had not thought of this because they usually offer a computer and printer in their area accessible to all. If nothing works, you might want to consider a wireless extender - don’t know if that gadget would include settings, but maybe the printer could be plugged into it.
Thanks, babowa and dwb. At Mom's old house, she had the ISP's router. But she doesn't have her own router at the community - it's like hotel wifi. Is there a way to wirelessly connect the iMac and the printer directly, without a router? Or can I configure the iMac to act as a wireless router for the printer, and also let the iMac use the community wifi?
No, Mom's community wifi doesn't require a daily OK. Thanks much for the AirPrint suggestion. I've never used it. It didn't even occur to me. I'll see if it works, and let you know.
You may need to set it up using the USB cable; we have the same printer and the setup process was easier connecting at first via cable. once it was recognized, we had to use the printer screen to set up wireless printing.
